The Client

The largest New Zealand-owned bank, services range from personal banking and business banking to insurance and wealth management. The bank has 400+ branches and about 3,000 corporate employees, as well as another 1,000-odd workers through franchises and brokerage operations. 

Challenge

The bank needed to address immediate regulatory requirement for compliance purpose to report all safety and wellbeing cases for employees and staff across all locations.

Solution

An online application that enables employees to assess, improve & monitor health, safety & well being capability, culture, performance and engagement. The application is built on ServiceNow HR Case Management, for employees to submit and track safety cases, and GRC for maintaining the Risk Register and compliance dashboard for H&S risks.

Accomplishments

Configured the Employee Service Centre to provide employees with access to HR cases, the Risk Register, and investigation tasks. Implemented GRC Risks and Policies to manage hazards using ServiceNow Risk Management capabilities, and created dashboards to report on monthly trends of critical and non-critical hazards and manage compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. This resulted in a 100% reduction in email usage for compliance reporting, saving hundreds of hours of effort.
